Smooth-faced Pyrenean Sheepdog is a small dog breed originating from France mostly used for herding purposes. Pyrenean Sheepdogs come in two variants: longhaired and smooth-faced. These dogs need to have a job to do if you want them to be happy.

Grooming

Smooth-faced Pyrenean Sheepdogs have short and fine hair that doesn’t require a lot of care. Regular brushing is required to keep the dog's coat clean and to keep the dog looking good.

Smooth-faced Pyrenean Sheepdog coat colors:

  • Fawn – light or dark

  • Blue with black mottling
  • Brindle black

The rest is basic care. Like any other dog, the Smooth-faced Pyrenean Sheepdog will also require regular teeth cleaning and bathing. Weekly check their ears for any sign of infection or bad odor which can indicate an infection. Their nails need to be trimmed if you hear them clicking on the floor.
