Grand Basset Griffon Vendéen is a medium-sized scent hound, originating from France. Their name can be translated as “large, low and shaggy dog of the Vendee”. Grand Basset Griffon Vendéen has a medium-long coat that consists of two layers – a harsh outer layer and a tick interlayer. Although they look like they require constant care, the truth is that a weekly brushing will be enough to keep this dog looking best. Baths are only required occasionally or if your dogs roll into something dirty.
