One of the first things we ask all breeders to present is the registration documents. This is the first thing that separates responsible breeders from those that want to sell their dogs without worrying too much about their well-being. Providing these documents separates registered breeders from puppy mills, backyard breeders, and scammers.

We want to let everyone know that we will not allow breeders to register and publish their dogs on the World Dog Finder website if they haven’t sent us proof of registration with their governing cynology association.

What associations do we accept?

Not all cynology associations are the same, and there are many clubs and organizations that allow everyone in with little to no control. If you are interested in becoming a part of our community, you will have to show proof of registration with

  • American Kennel Club
  • United Kennel Club
  • Fédération Cynologique Internationale member cynology association
  • Canadian Kennel Club
  • The Kennel Club

*These organizations are in no way affiliated with World Dog Finder.

What type of documents are required?

If you are a breeder from the United States of America, you will have to send us a registration certificate. There should be a clearly written name you want to use for the registration on World Dog Finder on that certificate.

If you already had a litter, you can send us documents from previous litter registration. However, there has to be a clearly written name of the owner/breeder or kennel name.

If you’re just starting your breeding business, you can send us the document that shows you have a registered dog, but it is crucial the owner’s name on the document matches the name you are applying with.

If you are from a country that is an FCI member, we require proof of your kennel registration. The document should have a clearly written kennel name and the FCI registration number. Below, you can find some examples of FCI and national cynology association registration documents.

Examples of document

All examples of verification documents you can find below the text.

The Canadian Kennel Club is the governing cynology association for Canada. They will issue registration and puppy documents to breeders that have registered litters with them. Make sure the document is readable and clear.

You can also send us any CKC-issued document where it is clear to see you have CKC registered dogs and you are the owner/breeder, or your kennel is mentioned on the official document.

The Kennel Club

The Kennel Club is the governing cynology association for the United Kingdom, and all of its members are welcome on the World Dog Finder website. Make sure the documents have valid information about your and your kennel.

What associations do we not accept?

We will not accept dog breeders from alternative cynology associations. In addition, organizations like the Designer Breed Registry, Designer Dog Kennel Club, International Canine Kennel Club, International Kennel Union, and other associations that offer different documentations to kennels and breeders WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Crossbreeds and designer dog breeds like different -Doodles, Pomskis, or Teacup dogs WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. We are accepting strictly internationally recognized dog breeds. All attempts to get around these rules will result in removing ads in question and a permanent ban of the breeder’s profile. World Dog Finder is a place for registered breeders that are breeding recognized breeds. If you are not sure the dog breed you are breeding will be accepted, you can simply take a look at all breeds we accept here.

If you are not sure whether you will be accepted or fulfill all the necessary conditions, you can contact us at [email protected], and we will be more than happy to help you with any questions you might have.
