The Appenzeller Sennenhund is a medium-sized dog breed, one of the four regional breeds of Sennenhund-type dogs that are native to the Swiss Alps region. Also called/known as Appenzeller, Appenzell Cattle Dog and Appenzeller Mountain Dog. The name Sennenhund refers to the Swiss people called Senn, cattle herders in the Appenzell region of Switzerland.
