Posavac Hound
Posavac Hound is an old hunting dog breed originating from Croatia. These dogs were used for small-game hunting. He is a loving and loyal dog that increasingly fills the role of a family pet. These are active dogs, and they will do best in an active family that loves to spend their time outside. Unlike other hound dogs, Posavac Hound responds well to training.

Grooming
Posavac Hounds have dense, harsh, and shiny coat that requires minimal grooming. Weekly brushing is enough to remove the dead hair from the dog's coat and to keep this dog looking good.

- Reddish wheaten in all shades with white markings
Since these dogs have droopy ears, you should be very careful and check them regularly. They are prone to developing an ear infection, and because of that, weekly check their ears for any sign of infections – bad odor, redness, wax build-up, etc.
With these dogs, the rest is basic care. Trim their nails if the dog doesn’t wear them out naturally, bathe them a few times a year, and brush their teeth so they secure fresh breath and healthy gums.
Exercise
Posavac Hound has a lot of energy, and you will have to provide these dogs with a lot of daily activities. They were bred to work all day, so be prepared to spend a lot of your free time outside with your dog.
