Portuguese Sheepdog is an intelligent and devoted shepherd bred for working purposes. These dogs come from Portugal, and they are known there as “cão da Serra de Aires,” This is a herding dog breed that is devoted to its flock and also Portuguese Sheepdog is a good watchdog. He will always be on the lookout for any predators.
Today these dogs are relatively rare, and mostly they can be found in their native land- Portugal.

Grooming
Portuguese Sheepdogs have a long and wavy coat that is easy to groom. Brushing the coat once a week will do the trick and keep these dogs looking good.
