Serving ideas

If you think adding some rosemary to your dog’s diet is the right move for you (and your vet said it is OK to do that), you should know how to safely do it. Keep in mind that too much of a good thing can be bad. If you overfeed your dog on rosemary, chances are, they will get some digestive problems like vomiting or diarrhea. Make sure you control the amount your dog eats, and don’t overdo it.

Here are some of the best ways to include rosemary in your dog’s diet;

  • Mix it with their usual kibble
  • If you grow your own rosemary and you don’t use any insecticides, you can simply pick it and give it to your dog fresh
  • You can cut the rosemary into tiny pieces and mix them in your homemade dog treats. Here are some helpful ideas - Homemade peanut butter dog treats.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: While rosemary can be very beneficial to dogs, you should never feed it to your pregnant or nursing dog. It can cause some adverse reactions in puppies.
