Breed History
This is a young dog breed and their development is mostly responsible to one person – Eduard Korthals. His plan was to create an ideal gundog – that can be a great pointer on dry land and a great water retriever. He managed to develop this dog breed and more and more people were interested in owning them.
FUN FACT: Wirehaired Pointing Griffon was officially recognized in the AKC in 1887.
