Letzte Aktualisierung: Aug 31 2023
The Sussex Spaniel is a breed of dog developed in Sussex in southern England to flush birds into the air for hunters. The breed was developed in the 18th century. The Sussex Spaniel faced extinction during World War II but was saved by the efforts of breeder Joy Scholefield and today the breed is still rare, but he is in no danger of disappearing. He is excellent around children, quite protective of the family and makes excellent candidates for therapy dog work. The rich golden liver colour is unique to the breed.
