Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terrier was created in 19th-century Britain to be a small, fast fighting dog. He was used for blood sports such as bull baiting, bear baiting and cock fighting. Dogs were set upon bulls, bears, or other large animals for entertainment. Another bloodsport dogs were involved in was dog fighting which involved gambling on dogs and the winner was the last surviving dog. The breed was probably developed by crossing the Bulldog with an ancestor of the Manchester Terrier. Today the Staffordshire Bull Terrier can be a great companion with proper socialization from a young age.
