The Icelandic Sheepdog is a dog breed of the spitz family. Their origins begin with the dogs that were brought to Iceland by the Vikings. It is similar to the Norwegian Buhund, the Shetland Sheepdog, and the Welsh Corgi. They are usually employed as shepherds for herding sheep in countryside of Iceland.
