Landseer is a dog that was first bred in Germany and Switzerland. It is a large dog bred that enjoys water and open spaces. It is considered by many to be the black and white version of the Newfoundland dog. It nearly went extinct after the second World War but thanks to the Swiss and German breeders, a great effort was made to restore the breed.
