Podenco Canario or Canarian Warren Hound is a dog breed originating from the Canary Islands. The Podenco Canario is still used in the Canary Islands today in packs as a hunting dog, mostly used for rabbit hunting. In the Canary Islands rabbits are considered as pests and that is the reason why these dogs are to this day, used as hunting dogs.
