Irischer Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier is a pure breed terrier from Ireland. This breed was in Ireland for two hundred years and was meant to be an all-purpose farm dog whose duties included herding, watching and guarding livestock, and vermin hunting. Despite its long history, the Wheaten was not recognised as a breed in Ireland until 1937. The Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier is an energetic and playful dog who needs consistent positive training. Wheaten terriers are extremely friendly and loving pets, and get along well with everyone if properly socialized. They are very protective of their families and, although they may bark in alert at strangers but they rarely get aggressive.
