Sloughi

The Sloughi is a North African breed of dog. It is found mainly in Morocco, Tunisia, Libya and Algeria. This breed was favored because of its intense desire to chase as well as its hunting capabilities. The true pedigree of the Sloughi is completely unknown but many Sloughi enthusiasts believe that this breed is closely related to the Afghan Hound, Saluki and Azawakh. The Sloughi is a one-person or one-family dog breed who’s affectionate with people of its choosing and is aloof toward strangers. It is often described as cat-like. It’s important that this breed is kept indoors with the family.
