Skye Terrier

Skye Terrier is among the oldest of small plucky terriers in Scotland. The breed was developed along the west coastal area to hunt fox and otter. Skye Terriers were first described in the sixteenth century. Some confusion exists in tracing its history because several different breeds had the same name "Skye Terrier". They are brave, good-natured, and loyal to their family. Skye terrier is very reserved and cautious toward strangers and traits so that makes him an excellent watchdog. The breed needs early socialization to ensure to be a well-rounded dog.
