Schnauzer

The Standard Schnauzer is a dog breed that originated in Germany from between 14th-15th century. "Snouter" comes from the German word for "snout" and means "moustache". The breed is classified as a working or utility dog. They're also excellent herders of sheep and good hunter. Standard Schnauzers are intelligent, but they can be stubborn. Standard Schnauzers are highly intelligent and become bored with repetitive tasks. During World War I, Schnauzers were used to carry dispatches and aid Red Cross workers and they were also used in Germany for police work.
