The Flat-Coated Retriever is a gundog breed originating from the United Kingdom. It was developed as a retriever both on land and in the water. Originating in the mid-19th century England, the Flat-Coated Retriever gained popularity as a gamekeeper’s dog. Today it is mostly kept as a family pet and companion for its temperament and eagerness to please people.
