The Istrian Coarse-haired Hound is a breed of dog from Croatia, developed in the around 1850s for hunting foxes, rabbits, hares and wild boars. It is a rough-coated breed from the scenthound family and to this day mostly kept as a hunting dog rather than as a family pet or companion.
