The Levrier Polonais is a Polish breed of dog from the sighthound family. It is known as the Levrier Polonais, although it is not a direct relative of the Greyhound dog. The first records about the existence of greyhounds in Poland come from the times of Gall Anonim. 12th or 13th century is considered the beginnings of the race's existence. Originally, these dogs were used for hunting birds.
